Mark D. Elliott - Ext. 17
Agency Owner
Mark started his career in insurance at Ferris State where he graduated in 1979 with degrees in Insurance, Real Estate, and Marketing.
He met his wife Susan there where she graduated with a Paralegal degree.
After working with the Aetna Insurance Company, he moved back to the Tawases in 1982 to become a partner in Tawas Bay Insurance Agency.
Mark has been very involved in the Tawas community over the past 25 years. He has coached softball, basketball and soccer teams, served on numerous boards and been an active member of a number of service clubs and community organizations. Susan filled her days caring for their two daughters, their home and doing community volunteering. With their daughters now grown, Mark and Sue still enjoy volunteering in the community as well as spending their leisure time visiting their daughters, watching the Detroit Tigers and enjoying Tawas Bay. |

Cliff Miller - Ext. 18
Commercial Sales
Cliff Miller Started working for Tawas Bay Insurance Agency after an extensive 26 year career, owning and operating several retail operations and an outdoor billboard plant.
At a young age, Cliff knew he wanted to be an entrepreneur. He entered the United States Marine Corp and the Merchant Marines to acquire the working capital and the leadership and marketing skills needed to manage personnel and inventory. He received a Letter of Commendation from a Navy Commanding Officer for outstanding performance and motivation that greatly contributed to division morale during the 1976 Lebanon evacuation. Enthusiasm, initiative, integrity, and loyalty: all are part of the Marine training that proved invaluable to his business career. Cliff is very active in his community. He is a member of the Downtown Development Association, the Tax Increment Finance Authority, and the Economic Development Authority. Volunteer activities have included, East Tawas Business Association, fireman for eighteen years, a church elder and treasurer, and a member of the Lions Club. |
